1. Where to Donate: Keeping Vegas Clean

If your items are in "good to great" condition, please consider donating. Many local organizations rely on these items to support Southern Nevada families.

2. Disposing of "The Tough Stuff"

Items like old paint, pool chemicals, motor oil, and electronics (E-Waste) are illegal to throw in your standard trash bin in Clark County. These items end up polluting our desert groundwater if not handled correctly.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Republic Services operates permanent drop-off facilities. You generally need to show a recent trash bill and ID:

• North Las Vegas Facility: 333 West Gowan Rd.
• Henderson Facility: 560 Cape Horn Dr.
• Accepted Items: Batteries, fluorescent bulbs, paints, pesticides, and cleaning chemicals.

3. Mattress & Appliance Disposal

Did you know that mattresses are one of the most difficult items to dispose of in Nevada? Charities almost never accept them for hygiene reasons. If you put them out for bulk pickup, they often sit in the sun, attracting pests.

Appliances: Refrigerators and A/C units contain Freon, a regulated refrigerant. You cannot simply dump these. They must be degassed by a professional or taken to a certified scrap recycler.
